Watching some obscure old horror or sci-fi movie from the '80s, a real low-budget affair that you'd be surprised to find on anything other than a well-worn VHS, but no - it's on Blu ray and it's mastered from the original negatives and it looks freaking fantastic  TeddyR

The cake some people on my dad's side of the family make.  There's two layers of cake with whipped cream in the middle.  It was my grandpa's favorite too, he'd still try to sneak some in even after the doctors said it wasn't a good idea for him to eat cake anymore.

Yesterday I saw a bumblebee land on a rose, climb inside, and its weight made the flower lean to the ground. After getting its pollen, the bee hopped off onto the ground, and the flower lifted back up. Nature's elevator! Seeing that pleased me...

Finishing a blog post.
Although that's not as satisfying as finishing a novel. TeddyR

I saw a state trooper changing a tire for a stranded motorist in 100+ degree heat yesterday.  It was a reminder that we never see a lot of the good that cops do.  (The motorist was a middle aged black woman)
