I was just looking at the schedule of my local movie pub, and was surprised that they were showing a second run movie of Poltergeist made last year.  I had no idea one was even out.
It seems that so many of these just have no impact good or bad, they are made then just well don't happen.  But maybe thats all movies and I"m especially senitive to reboots of formerly huge movies.

Actually, the remake is this year's film. Being released in the U.S. in May of this year. The good news is, because it lost money at the box office, some $16 million, we will be unlikely to get . . .

A TV series "Poltergeist : the Legacy" (1996)

"Poltergeist III" (1988)

"Poltergeist II : the Other Side" (1986)

All of which were spawned by the original 1982 film.

Just be prepared for . . . if a current film has not already been green lighted for a sequel, a prequel, a reboot, a remake, or a reinvention. it will be, especially if it has any success at the box office.

Thanks for the clarification... Still and all, it does astound me how many of these just fizzle.
