The fake film "MANT!" in MATINEE.

They watch EVIL DEAD in DONNIE DARKO.

I can't count the number of times in cheap horror movies people will be watching either NIGHT OF THE LIVING DEAD or CARNIVAL OF SOULS on TV. (Obviously, because both are public domain).

In "Who Framed Roger Rabbit," Roger and Eddie Valiant are hiding out in a theater, and Roger is cracking up and commenting on the Goofy cartoon being shown on screen. ("What a genius!")

One of AIP's beach movies has a clip from Invasion of the Saucer Men on a TV.

And I believe The Amazing Colossal Man & Attack of the Puppet People had clips of each other on movie screens.

Dennis Christopher's character watches a bunch of old classic (mostly scary) films in a theater and dresses like the films' main characters in real life, killing people who antagonize him in FADE TO BLACK.

Both versions of he blob had a movie being watched in a theater. So did the tingler.

Monty pythons the meaning of  life had a brief movie called "the crimson permanent assurance " before the main feature started.

The BRIDE OF FRANKENSTEIN (1935) is on TV in BRIDE OF CHUCKY.
The killers watch BRIDE OF THE MONSTER (1955) on TV in the DEVIL'S REJECTS.

But that's on TV.
The TERROR (1963) is playing at the the Drive-In in TARGETS (1968).
I think Clarence and Alabama are watching STREET FIGHTER (1973) in TRUE ROMANCE.Or else it's the BODYGUARD (1976).
The little girls watch FRANKENSTEIN (1931) in SPIRIT OF THE BEEHIVE (1973) at a theater.
The Asian gang watch NOSFERATU (1922) on the big screen in KING OF NEW YORK (1990).

In Chips the War Dog, the family which owns Chips watches a Donnald Duck short in a theater.

In the TV remake of The Shaggy Dog, the main characters watch a werewolf movie in a theater...& then the title character starts to transform.

In SHLOCK (1972), the theater scene shows clips from DINOSAURAUS (1960) and the BLOB (1958).

In AMERICAN WEREWOLF IN LONDON  the film in the theater advertised as called I'LL SEE YOU NEXT WEDNESDAY- is actually...SHLOCK (1972!)

the film the BLOB (1958) is being shown on TV in BEWARE! THE BLOB (1972).
