I'm having trouble finding a confirming statement on the movie (it's not exactly something CBS or BBC would cover).  New York Comicon confirmed that Gamera has a 50th anniversary booth, and attendees have reported seeing the above trailer there along with a new poster.  Apparently, the movie is simply going to be called "Gamera."

The trailer looks legit.  It's definitely not edited from prior films, and if it's fan-made, then it's a very well done and laudable fan-made trailer.  If in the event that I am wrong, I apologize.

I found these two sites:

The Good, the Bad and the Godzilla

Wikizilla

Apparently, this movie has been an on-again/off-again affair for a while now, but it was officially announced today (08OCT2015) at the NY Comic-Con.  According to that second link above, the movie may not be a full-length feature film, and it will only be released in Japan.  That site also links to the new official website of the film here.

Assuming it gets made, I am sure it will eventually find its way to the rest of the world.  I, for one, am looking forward to it.

Movie, monster, and trailer all look awesome! They seem to be using Gyaos again, but at least they have a new monster now. And I'm so glad they ditched the horrendous-looking "Toto", from the other movie with Zedus. I'm honestly not too worried about it staying in Japan. Going by the gigantic amount of people from other countries wanting to see it, it wouldn't be the best marketing decision to keep it in Japan.

Hm, thought it was announced a while ago.

They announced it some time after Godzilla 2014, but then put a lid on it for a while.  Everyone thought it was canned, but then it popped up at NYCC.

Ah, thanks! Didn't know that they scrapped it for a while.
