Here's your chance to share your favorite moments of your favorite children's educational programming!  They can be specials, series, maybe short movies.  But generally live-action, not fully animated.  The show, that is; the skits you choose can be animated.
One of my favorite Sesame Street skits:
THE MAD PAINTER!
Paul Benedict (THE JEFFERSONS) would cause graffitti-related mayhem by painting a particular number on public or private property.

SESAME STREET PINBALL!  With vocals by the Pointer Sisters!

ELECTRIC COMPANY also had some great skits:
"LY"

and Morgan Freeman as EASY READER!

What educational children's programming/segments do you fondly remember?

I loved Letter People Land when I was really young.  I always remembered Mr S song as my favorite

And while I don't see any clips of it on yoututbe, there was an episode of Reading Rainbow devoted to dinosaurs that I loved as a kid.

Another educational show that wasn't directed at kids..
LILIAS, YOGA AND YOU
Really long-running series on PBS teaching yoga.  Began in 1972.  What the hell does that symbol in the background mean?

I loved the funky theme at the end of SESAME STREET during the credits.. but not the creepy PBS ident.

It was weird that the ELECTRIC COMPANY never had Spider-Man speak.  He just made weird noises as a word balloon appeared to convey his thoughts.

I remember Mr Wizard, but was never much of a fan of Bill Nye.  I always preferred Beakman's World

My sisters and I loved this show: ANIMALS ANIMALS ANIMALS (1976-81, hosted by Hal Linden!)

And for some local flavor, in the Portland OR area:
BUMPITY (1971-85), a puppet show with various Portland-area guests who would show off talent or read a story.

Not a  kiddie show per se, but educational; PBS' Connections.

If it's true what they say, that GOD created us in His image, then why should we not love creating, and why should we not continue to do so, as carefully and ethically as we can, on whatever scale we're capable of?

The choice is simple; refuse to create, and refuse to grow, or build, with care and love.
