Toho is working on a brand new Godzilla movie. A new poster showing what the new Godzilla will look like, has started floating about the internet. A teaser trailer has also been released, but it just show a person's pov as he runs around a frighten crowd and Godzilla's roar is heard at the end. There's no real word on what the plot will be. This has lead some to believe that the film will be a Cloverfiled style found footage film.
I could see that being the case, because apparently this will be the first Godzilla film to abandon suitmation entirely. Godzilla will be portrayed using a CGI/Animatronic combo. And that design would look like it works better with a quick glance horror feeling of a found footage film.
I'm not keen on this design. Maybe I'll feel different when I see it in action.
