Tonight's blog post . . . all my books are about Rome, on some level.  But why??  Read and find out!

Roma...Città eterna, Roma...la capitale , Roma...Caput Mundi

Been to Rome three times.  Hope to go back someday.

(And also the location of a couple certain statues that just hate it when some guy from Iowa comes along with that g*****n camera of his).

Italy is at the top of my bucket list.
Rome, Naples, Pompeii, and of course, the Isle of Capri.

Yes the Isle of Capri is really nice, as is the Amalfi  Coast - which is not too far from Naples.  If I won the powerball I'd seriously consider retiring to Positano, which is a small town on the coast.

I do like the setup. The story seemed to hing closer to a thriller or an action thriller (Something like the Tom Hanks movie)... I don't understand why you have the book listed as a Religious & Inspirational/ Historical...

Amazon does that.  My Capri Team stories are generally Christian fiction, but they are also fast-paced thrillers!

I thought you have the option to change it... Christian Fiction is a very narrow audience and anybody looking for fast-paced thrillers are not going to be looking for a book listed as Religious & Inspirational... I don't think there is anything wrong in listing this story as a thriller, even though it's a Christian Fiction. On the other hand, those that are into reading Angels & Demons might want to look for books that are similar in story/theme and I have doubts they are going to find it under Religious & Inspirational.

Though if I was looking for book religious advice to boost my self-esteem, I wouldn't be looking for it under a thriller.

I think you should look into this.

Oh do you have a Wattpad account?

indianasmith

That is good advice, and I will look into it!

No, I don't have Wattpad.

Thanks. You should get a wattpad account (you can post your first chapter or you can post blogs or other books/short stories/nature pictures, etc...). I'm on wattpad as Richard Staschy :)

Amazon doesn't select the category, the publisher does. They put it in the category they think will sell best. I say you should trust them. Inspirational is probably a smaller and more focused niche where you can stand out more easily. If you're in Thrillers you have to compete with NYT bestsellers.
I'll take you places the hand of man has not yet set foot...
