Sorry I've been gone for so long. I'll try to post way more often. So I'm going to start with what is apparently a controversial question.

Mike Vs. Joel

I'm relatively new to MST3K so I can't really say who's better yet.

Why does one have to be "better?"

It's not even a "No Preference" kind of thing.  I honestly don't get the cultural obsession with "better" and "best," especially stuff like this.

So, without an option that says "Who gives a Sh1t about stuff like this," I'll abstain completely.

They're both great but Mike is a little bit funnier. Many classic moments are with Joel though and I CERTAINLY prefer dr forester and tv's frank to pearl by a mile.

No preference. I started watching when Joel was host so I have a soft spot for him, but really, it's quite amazing that Mike was able to step in and do as well as he did with a character that was similar enough to keep the proper "affectionately sarcastic" tone while still having his own personality.

And of course, many of Joel's riffs were written by Mike (but not vice-versa).

Joel's dry delivery and Mike's dopey demeanor manage to share the same spot of fondness in my memories.

Just speculation, but a year or two from now I don't think Jonah will be doing very well in polls against these two. He's got too much to live up to.

I kinda liked Joel better, but it's a tough call.

By far the best "Mads" were Dr. Forrester and TV's Frank though.

It's simple really. Joel is their dad, and Mike is a frat brother. Me like both.

How are those ducks managing to throw bricks?  They don't have hands.

Personally, I've always preferred Mike.  By the time MST3K was on a non- subscription tv channel, he was the host.  So I became a fan when he was the one making the riffs.

I voted no preference.

I like both. I've a soft spot for Joel, first one I saw and grew up with, created it, etc. My favorite films featured were Joel.

Mike brought something different to it. He was like their brother, so the relationship changed. And he's incredibly funny.
