Hey everyone! I'm new to this forum, but I'm glad that I found it because I'm getting ready to release the remake of The Killer Shrews. Two years in the making, "Attack of the Killer Shrews!" is a love song that I wrote to the original. Stuffed full of splatstick style comedy, Shrews features a talented cast of comedians and character actors, including the legendary Lloyd Kaufman.

You guys are going to be hearing a lot about the film since we're close to the release, so I figured I'd come here and answer any questions you guys might have.

More information can be found at our website killershrewmovie.com

CurrentlyI'm working to complete a special introduction to the film which includes a lot of stop motion animation, hoping to have the film available in August.

This film is not associated with the sequel that came out in 2011 but is instead a third installment in the Shrews series. I know you guys are going to love it.

Thanks for introducing yourself properly and not hiding your relationship with the film. We've had some sketchy self-promoters come by here before...

Proooobably gonna be more like September. But there's a great reason for that! The film is done and I wanted to add something special: A stop motion animated intro. We've built some pretty rad miniature sets and some mini shrew puppets.

I'm a regular person. Done a bunch of film work but nothing that I'm more proud of than our Shrews remake.

Hey Skull thanks a lot! Sucks I am not permitted to share links, I guess because I'm new to the forum. I wanted to share the new trailer and poster (poster created by the talented Jason Martin who does all the RiffTrax art!) But I guess you can see it all on killershrewmovie.com

There might be a 10 or a 20 post limit (prevents spam and other idiots). Maybe you can talk about some of the other bad movies or post 'written' updates and or stories about making the film on this thread

My whole life is a bad movie man! I started out with Troma and then graduated to working with The Asylum if that tells you anything.

lol there is life before Troma... But I do get what you mean... :)

Did you do any 'story writing?' You might want to make an account on Wattpad.com and post a story version of your movie. Also, there is a rumor that Tales From The Crypt is checking out posted horror stories.

I have more work right now than I can keep up with, but I'll keep that in mind! Yes, I wrote the story for Shrews, and I also wrote the story for Wolf House which is a werewolf film we sold recently that should be released later this year.

Also, I don't know how I feel about the new Tales From The Crypt. M. Night is producing and well.... did you see "The Happening"?

You don't want to overload yourself but I've seen some writers and movie makers actually used the site. As for Night (well he has heart but he needs to get a little edgy)

I did check out the link that you posted.

Sixth Sense was good, I liked Unbreakable but I feel like he peaked early. I don't know what it is but he seems to take a good concept and shoot it in the face until it stops moving.

I didn't think I'll be talking about Night... :)

I think his style is closer to family horror but his fans want something more deeper and darker from him; I think the core of his fans are from the Sixth Sense. The TFTC might be a good move for him. :)
