I love this movie-not because of the sadism-the actors!
Sid Haig! f**kin Sid Haig,man-I love the guy!
Bill Mosley really did a good job as the Manson type Otis.
William Forsythe! The man is a Bad movie treasure!
Ken Foree-it's f**kin Ken Foree! Case closed!
Geoffry Lewis-DAM-good to see Clint's old buddy back on the big screen!
Danny Trejo!
Diamond Dallas Page!
Micheal Berryman!!!!
Mary Woronov,PJ Soles!,Ginger f**kin Lynn!!
You may have missed Kane Hodder and Steve Railsback in cameos.
Oh-and the music was good too!

I voted orgasm!

An interesting storyline and well acted characters male this a solid film. Also the little bits of family interplay, like the ice cream scene, make me think Rob Zombie could actually do a decent normal family film if he wanted.

Huge improvement on House of a 1000 corpses.

It's probably the best movie Rob Zombie has done.

I don't like it, though I agree with Chainsaw Midget above that it's probably ROB ZOMBIE's best film.  I think it's dumb, manipulative, and contrived, BUT, I do like a couple of bits, and all of SID HAIG (he makes this sh!t worth sitting through).

Agree here... I think the worst part was I wanted this to be awesome! I feel that Rob Zombie took parts of Bonnie and Clyde (1967), Badlands (1973) and Natural Born Killers (1994) mixed it in a blender; force feed Sig Haig and whatever Sig pooped out Rob Zombie used it in the movie.

I sort of want to see The Lords of Salem (2012) but every time I think of watching that movie I have that bitter memories on how bad House of 1000 Corpses, The Devil's Rejects and Halloween.

The sad part is that I don't think Rob Zombie is a bad director, I think his focus in horror movies making seemed a little off. Maybe he should had remade Mother's Day (1980) instead of ripping it off.

Personally, I think HALLOWEEN was his best film.  This one I would rate second.

I can't judge Halloween by it's own merits.  As good or as bad as it is, it can't escape the fact that it was a remake of a movie done by a person that didn't have one tenth the talent as the original.

Everything Rob added to the movie just felt like it made it worse.

Thinking about the two now, I think you might have something.  ROB ZOMBIE's HALLOWEEN was more interesting than it should have been, but mainly in those portions where there is no JOHN CARPENTER influence.  JOHN CARPENTER's HALLOWEEN though imperfect, comes close to a kind of perfection.

I always loved that scene because in the late 70's I would've been around the same age as that kid and my real name is also Jamey.   Smile Thumbup

I haven't voted because I haven't seen it again since the theatrical release. Back then I loved it because I thought it channeled Peckinpah just right, turning into anti-heroes its despicable characters. It's no small feat, considering better known directors have failed at that.

Due to the horrifying nature of this film, no one will be admitted to the theatre.

It's alot more complex than folks give it credit for-it plays on emotions-the Clan are most certainly evil-from the first get go-dam-Otis is sleeping with a dead body! But Thats the power of film-to manipulate.
