ON THE BEACH. Every time I watch this movie it touches me emotionally. It haunts me for the next couple of days. And I can't get the song WALTZING MATILDA out of my head.

I saw that one.  I first became aware of it when it was described in a SFF story about people having does and didn't know it.  As one realizes she talks about this movie.

One movie that I think about sometimes is Orphan. It's so over the top and there's so much ridiculous campy stuff in it.

*spoiler*

like when the orphan walks up to the Mom's car and turns the brake off. Somehow no one sees and the girls doesn't tell after she almost died

Back of Beyond (1995)

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PX_0J5QfBqQ

A recluse mechanic/diner owner in the remote Australian outback has a run in with diamond smugglers, and ends with romantic feelings for one of them.  It also has a supernatural element thrown in.

An obscure Australian B movie that I saw on cable as a teenager.  For some reason, it stuck in the back of my mind for 20+ years, but I never remembered the name of it.  I did multiple Imdb and google searches, and found it recently.  It has never been released on anything past VHS and Laserdisc.  Very little about the movie is on the net at all.  I actually found the trailer somewhere and uploaded it to Youtube.  I downloaded a VHS rip of the movie from a site that has lots of obscure, impossible to find stuff until I eventuall come across a copy of my own.  Let's just say that it was definitely a better watch when I was a naive teenager and didn't already know the ending, but I'm still glad I got to see it again.
