Granted, maybe I should post this in Pros and Novices board or probably another board on another site altogether, but still...

I was wondering if anyone could give me some photography advice.  I'm starting up some more auctions so I've been photographing a lot of merchandise.  Here's the problem: you want to get the merchandise well lit, but seems like with a lot of it (especially books) I'm getting glare from the lights.  Is there a way I should angle the lights or something to get good lighting without the glares?

Thanks!

General rule: if you can make the lights go further away or use some diffusion to soften the light somewhat. Can even be a white sheet: Diffused light=soft light so not as harsh and may help.
