WOTP Buying direct from China... tariffs?

So, I was on eBay the other day looking at some stuff and I saw some awesome deals from a company in China that offered FREE SHIPPING on their things. Only thing is, the shipping is free, but they say in a disclaimer that I would be responsible for any taxes, tariffs or import charges that might occur on my end. So, that got me thinking... Does one usually have pay extra for stuff from China?

Anyway, I'm Googling it now, but I figure someone else might be able to tell me about their experiences...

I've never had any issues buying cheap crap from china on ebay, but with Trump throwing out some pacific trade deal, I'm kinda expecting possible changes in the future...
