https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W-mJuBMot5E

I picked this one mostly based on the very 80 horror cover.

I'm also happy to say that the youtube video seems to be uploaded from an old worn out VHS tape, which seems to be the perfct way to watch something like this.

I honestly have not seen it myself.  Not yet.  It's been on me "to see" list but as a fairly low priority.

So, go ahead and give it a watch bad moviers and come back to let us know what you think.

It's not the most memorable movie in the world.  For a monster movie set on a beach, it could have really used more blood and bikinis.  It just feels like it needed more schlock.  Also it could have used more monster.

it does have John Saxxon though. That's usually a good sign when you're looking for bad movies.  I did love the scene where he tells off the mayor and all those other politicians.

The one Chicago cop (or was it new York?) was also really fun in an unlikable sort of way.

finally got a moment to watch it the other night... starting to think maybe I hadnt seen it before cause I didnt remember a thing!

decent bad-movie fare I guess...not quite bad enough to be l-o-l funny. in fact pretty serious and almost melancholy drama in places.

Someone has very kindly uploaded a very good transfer to YouTube. I'm going to watch this soon, the trailer looks awesome.  Oddly, the so called 'extended version' is five minutes shorter than the crappy VHS transfer that was on YouTube before!

This one a lot better than I expected it to be. The monster is fairly unusual and they made effective use of the many of tried-and-tested "Jaws" blueprint. Plus John Saxon and Burt Young were as fun to watch as ever.
