These tips are for playing Jason from part 2 (sack head), who has the most traps and a fast morph cooldown.

1.   Grab the two knives from the wall in Jason’s shack.
2.   Immediately morph to the phone box. Place one or two traps in front of it.
3.   Bust the windows and doors of phone box cabin. Get any councilor(s) if they are nearby (but don’t waste too much time on them at this point).

Note: You may want to morph to each location and trap them, then come back around and smash the windows/doors as time is of the essence, especially in the beginning of the match.

4.   Morph to the first (or only) car. Place a trap by the gas tank and another one or two in front of the battery/hood.

5.   Bust the windows and doors of the closest cabin(s) near the car. Get any councilor(s) if they are nearby (but don’t waste too much time on them at this point).

6.   Morph to the second car (if there is a second one). Place a trap by the gas tank and another one or two in front of the battery/hood.

7.   Bust the windows and doors of the closest cabin(s) near the car. Get any councilor(s) if they are nearby (but don’t waste too much time on them at this point).

8.   Morph to the boat docs. Place a trap or two at the entrance of the docks.

9.   Start hunting: morph between the phone box, the car(s), the boat docks, and the big house, smash any remaining doors and windows.

Sound Queue Tips:
Listen closely for sound queues and morph to that location ASAP and get the campers. Traps do a little damage, but their main function is to give you sound alerts:

•   Dial tone sound: morph to phone box/building and get them before they install the fuse. If they manage to install it, destroy the power box forcing them to repair it again.

•   Electrical sound: morph to car battery/hood and get them before they install the battery.

•   Water spill sound: morph to car gas tank and get them before they fill the gas tank.

•   Water splash sound: a camper is in the water; morph to them and drown them.

•   Trap sound: morph to trap, kill camper, lay another trap if possible.

Other Tips:

•   When choosing the 4 kills Jason can do (pre-game in the customization prefs), choose the kills that are the quickest (the head punch, the bear hug, the back breaker, and the gorilla press head slam into the ground).

•   As stated, smash all windows and break down the doors to the cabins near the cars, boat, and phone; make it as hard as possible for a camper to bunker near the escape routes.

•   If you kill a fool that was holding the gas can, battery, keys, propeller, fuse, etc., lay a trap on the item after they drop it (if you have any traps left).

•   Smash any power boxes when you think a camper is hiding inside; it will reveal if they are inside or not (they will panic). I wouldn’t smash them until you think someone’s hiding within as you only get bonus XP for smashing one of them.

•   Activate Stalking just before morphing to catch any nearby campers by surprise.

•   Watch out for traps just inside a door; Shift past them.

•   Smash all windows of a cabin if a camper is inside; they take damage climbing out of those windows.

•   Grab any knives you see, but don’t waste time on this until all traps are laid. I usually grab knives while I’m waiting for my ability cooldowns to regenerate.

•   Throw knifes through the window; slash campers if they are close to the window.

•   Use combat stance when smashing through doors (it’s faster). Supposedly, in combat stance, you can block attacks, flare guns, etc., but I’m personally not very good at this yet.

•   When fighting Tommy, either grab him right away to make him waste his knife or just repeatedly slash him so he can’t use it on you.

•   When grabbing a counselor, turn them towards the others to make them a blocker of sorts.

•   Slash a camper with your weapon once or twice before grabbing them; if they do manage to escape your grasp, they will limp slowly after that (unless they have a med kit, which I try to make them waste in this way).

•   Throw campers through windows or on a coat rack for a quick kill.

•   Avoid the grab when there are several campers in the same area; slash them instead.

•   If they get the car started and you pull out the driver, try and drop a trap by the driver’s side door (if possible), especially if any present campers run off (if they try to get back in, they take a little damage and give you a sound alert).

I’ll post more as I think of them.

More notes:

You may consider trapping the boat docks before the cars (but always trap the fuse/phone box first) since campers only need two parts to get the boat going (when cars require three).

After all traps are laid at escape route/repair locations: hunting tips

Seek and Destroy: if you start chasing down one camper and others come near, do not switch to a new target; you've already worn down the stamina of the initial target and hopefully made them take some damage (via knives, slashes, or broken window escapes); if you switch to a new, fresh target, the original will be able to regain their stamina easier. Don't let them distract or bait you.

In another words, "Stay on target...stay on target"

If they get the car running/moving, try to get in front of it with morph; be careful the campers don't juke you into wasting it. Not sure what advice to give when they drive it backwards except to let them crash and then close in for the kill.

If campers are trying to hit/stun you, be in a good blocking place (doorway) so they can't get around you easily to escape in case they do stun you for a second.

If they get the phone working and manage to call the cops, continue hunting (and forget about the fuse box as it's now moot) until the cops actually show up. Campers will head for cabins near the road to the cops, so keep an eye on those and/or smash their doors and windows. When the cops arrive, morph near the escape route and kill any campers trying to escape.

If a camper is inside, slash the door only once or twice to see if that motivates them to jump out a window. Turn Sense on and Shift to get them if they do. If they don't, continue to rip down the door.

You get experience bonus for kill variety, so try to kill each camper in a different way to max this out. Also destroy at least one power box before the end of the match for the XP bonus.

Notes about Jason's special abilities:

Sense: lets you see campers in red; the more fear they have, the easier for you to see. Increase fear by smashing power boxes (also to reveal if they are inside said cabin, as stated above). Fear is also increased when they are in the dark, outside of a cabin, if they see you, or if they see a dead body. They will auto "panic" so use those sounds to help locate them if they are nearby. Use Sense sparingly and turn it off right away so the cooldown refreshes faster (so you have it again when you need it).

Stalk: turns off your warning music. Use before Morphing and use when you have a camper cornered in a cabin (they might think you left). Hang out beside an open window if you think they will try to escape.

Shift: great for runners and for getting by a camper-laid trap. Takes practice to do the Shift+grab (shift just ahead of them before releasing and grabbing). Watch out for rocks, fences, trees, and other dumb stuff that will block/stop your shifting (it's a real pain and doesn't make a lot of sense, either).

Morph: allows you to jump from one location to another on the map. Be aware that sometimes it puts you a good distance from your target (if it's the car out in the road by itself); after morphing, quickly check your map/direction in case you are facing the wrong way. Use your morph sparingly; don't waste it. Save it for sound queue morphing and or escape route checks.

Not sure if anyone is reading this or finding it useful, but more tips:

* Early in the match (after/during initial trap laying), do the grab attack to make campers waste/use up their fireworks and knives (especially Tommy because he always has one). If they use pocket knives to escape from you, 1. they use it up and won't be able to get away next time and more importantly, 2. they can't use the knife to disable a trap.

* Lots of campers like to gang up on you. Try to divide and conquer. Slash instead of grab when mobbed.

* Knives: collect as many as possible. Use sparingly.

* Players who bunker. Human players love to cat-n-mouse and bunker in and trap the door. If you have extra traps, lay them outside the windows. Smash all windows. If the camper is in visual range, throw knives (I had a battle Chad think he was being smart by bunkering and I kept knifing his face until he dropped).
