I AM THE BAD PHOTOSHOP EFFECT!

« on: May 25, 2017, 05:10:13 PM »

When adjusted for inflation, the most profitable movie of all time is Police Academy 5: City Under Seige

A biographical film about  Haruo Nakajima,  the suit actor famous for portraying Godizilla has cast its star-A genetically modified Utahraptor named Subject #2814  He will be fitted for a human costume to play the role.   Thus the movie will star a dinosaur in a man suit portraying a man in a dinosaur suit.

Freddy Kruegar, Neo from the Matrix and  Dirty Harry all wear the same size shoe.

The President of Bolivia holds the official copyright  on people having beards in movies. Every bearded character in a movie gains the nation a 13 cents.  It is the nation's 8th largest source of income.

THE WIZARD OF OZ was based on true events, only the tornado didn't carry the house to a mythical land, but only about four feet to the side.

Thelonious Monk's birth name was Thelonious Baxter; he changed it to avoid confusion with another jazz musician of the same name.

Jerry Lewis wrote an unpublished sequel to THE DAY THE CLOWN CRIED set in Communist China.

The most popular TV show of 1959 was "Exotica Gospel Hour," featuring Martin Denny performing Hawaiian-based arrangements of gospel standards.

OK, I see what we are doing here . . .

JURASSIC PARK was originally going to be filmed with real dinosaurs, but negotiations broke down when the T-Rex demanded two live cows a day delivered to his trailer, plus a live satellite feed of non-stop "Crocodile Hunter" episodes.  They went with CGI at that point.

Renowned stunt person Vic Armstrong once worked as Dame Joan Collins' masseuse. That is a true story.

Jennifer Lopez is the only person to win an Oscar, a Grammy, the WWE Intercontinental Championship, and the Kentucky State Fair pie eating contest all in a single year.

A bite from Ray Romano can deliver the same amount of venom as an adult diamondback rattlesnake.

In the original cut of Chinatown there are several scenes where the characters just tell each other "Yo' Mama" jokes.

Silent movies actually have sound.  All humans were mute until 1929.

Porn is absolutely unedited, and male porn stars actually can climax five times in three minutes.

"The Usenet Murders (1982)" is the 1st film in the "evil internet psychopath" genre.

It's a remake of "The Compuserve Killer (1979)" which doesn't count because Compuserve used their own protocol; the Internet was strictly for government and educational use.

"The Compuserve Killer" (not to be confused with AOL) is probably a lost film; CompuServe did not like it, for obvious reasons, and sued. The producers argued it was fair use, but the judge disagreed, and ordered the destruction of the master and all copies. The producers made "The Usenet Murders" to get something from their investment.

The producers have been very good about keeping the now-rare "Usenet Murders" off YouTube, but you might be able to find a French dub on Daily Motion, if you look hard enough.

Yes, but you forget to mention Korla Pandit's contribution of set design... Lookingup

Before Satoshi Tajri made Pokemon, he made a short lived comic based on the concept, Capsule Monsters:

 TeddyR TeddyR

In South Africa, we remained mute until 1931 when the first sound movies were made here.  Wink
