I just watched 2001: A SPACE ODYSSEY (on TCM again)... I like all of KUBRICK's movies, particularly the long "boring" ones (hence my choice of BARRY LYNDON)...  TeddyR
I had a beautiful copy of DEE BROWN's Bury My Heart at Wounded Knee.  I guess it was lost in a flood; I know I lost milk crates full of nice clean (but read... by me) examples of books.  Just realized it was 20 years ago SEPTEMBER maybe to the day moving into this house when our friend's basement flooded, where we were living - the four of us, now just 3.  Losing most of my books was easier because I had already sold most of my records (after all, I had CDs...  Lookingup ...a***ole).    I have some books and records left, but not like I did.  Later, I collected toys and Halloween and rarely bought books or records... (AFTER ALL... CDs...!!!)  Hatred  Okay, they're easier.  Seriously, I would have kept a lot of the cool records I had because I would get a pretty penny for lots of them...  Lookingup  I had some cool Punk and Rock records... BEASTIE BOYS "Cookie Puss" 12-inch single (tri-state area issue, local only, I think, 35 years ago, not well known, their first)... BAUHAUS Sky's Gone Out... DEAD KENNEDYS Fresh Fruit for Rotting Vegetables (with the fake band heads intact on back cover classic photo... record did not sell well and the first issues of that one were swiftly removed from SALE...)  Collectors love that sh!t.

Best I could find, it's that big a dirty little secret... (See?  No heads.):

This is a later issue BEASTIE BOYS from original tapes; Where you hear the obvious break is where the "12 inch" was "extended play..." (gets boring) at about 3.25 minutes.  The original had no artwork and is scarce.  There's not even a good youtube though I dint look hard... Wink

Good god! I had that DK record! I left in in LI in 1984 with my brother Mike-and ma took all our records and burned them in the back yard-because she turned into a weird Jehovah witness freak. well-the old bird is dead now-I loved ma-but she was crazy. I have 2 copies of WOUNDED KNEE-I'll send you one if you like.

I always find these lists hard, and you've made four of them! Mind if I separate them? Here are my choices for movies:

Star Wars - I could watch this looped all day and not get bored. (Probably.)

Ben Hur - The 50's version. Long enough to take all day. I'm sure I'll have lots of time.

Empire Strikes Back, Return of the Jedi - Eventually, I'll want to watch Empire, and since it ends on a cliff hanger, I'll have to watch Jedi too. :/

Not sure what the 5th should be; debating Pokemon 4Ever and The Sound of Music. (Bit embarrassing to admit.)

Of course you did.  All PUNKS had DK.

You sent me WOUNDED KNEE already.  It's the only copy I've got.  My first beautiful copy like all of my beloved books had a dust jacket and most of them came from an estate my mother inherited.

I must be on a nearby island as ER.  A sealed CD of THE KINKS ARE THE VILLAGE GREEN PRESERVATION SOCIETY just washed up!   Smile

I despise THE SOUND OF MUSIC.  I completely love the fact that you'd want to look at it.  Cool.
