Over the last year (about once a season), the wife and I have held three b-movie parties (so far), all with great success/fun/drunkenness. Anyone else hold similar local get-togethers and if so, how did they go and what movies did you watch?

Here's a log of screenings we've held so far:

B-Movie Part 1:

1.   Flash Gordon
2.   Bride of Chucky
3.   Black Dynamite
4.   Wolfcop
5.   The Howling II
6.   Killer Klowns From Outer Space
7.   Chopping Mall
8.   Cabin in the Woods

Return of the Living B-Movie Party:

1.   Jason X
2.   Rock n Roll High School
3.   Masters of the Universe
4.   Deadly Prey
5.   Singham
6.   Super Ultra Man
7.   Demon Wind

Bride of B-Movie Party:

1.   Deadliest Prey
2.   The Lawnmower Man
3.   Three O’Clock High
4.   Kung Fury
5.   Miami Connection
6.   Gymkata
7.   The Visit

Our next one will likely be in November, so I'm going to make sure to include Blood Freak and perhaps Thankskilling, depending on the audience that shows up (a lot of them have been b-movie newbs so I don't want to crush their spirit with Blood Freak tooo soon hahaha!).

Not done it for a few years now, but used to have get togethers where we'd have a theme like bad shark movies (Shark Attack 1,2 and 3 I remember featured in that one). Was always good fun. Hope your parties continue to be a success. :)

I used to do with friends yeas ago before we all got busy

we'd watch whatever

The Room, Birdemic, lots of MST3K, Robot Monster, Troll 2, Glen of Glena, Bride of the Monster, Plan 9 From Outer Space off the top of my head

I recall one of my friends saying "That was the worst movie I've ever seen (The Beast of Yucca Flats). What's Next?"

What is these "friends" you speak of?  I've heard the term before, but always thought they were mythical, like elves, unicorns and honest politicians.

Hey, buddy! Elves and unicorns are real. But, yeah, that other one doesn't exist, like efficient government.

Oh that sounds like a great theme (sharks and/or animal attack movies). We considered doing a cheezy 80s Barbarian block screening (Red Sonja, Conan, Beastmaster, the Barbarians) but decided that might be too much man meat at once, so we're going to try to sprinkle them throughout a few movie parties.

Shark Attack 3 - I still need to acquire this non-classic!

Hehe. Man, that reminds me of college days, when, somehow, I had all the free time in the world to have movie day parties.  Adulting sucks sometimes hehe. We used to watch long horror blocks almost every weekend. Miss those days sometimes.

If they'd hurry up and invent safe (and cheap) teleportation, I could invite all my friends here from this board lol.

Again, wishing I had the time to ever do this, but I have considered throwing virtual movie screening parties (via Skype or discord, etc.). One of my mates and I did a virtual testing of watching Birdemic together, which worked out pretty well.

I'd be up for giving it a go. Quite often I find myself really wishing this site had a chat function where people could just drop in and randomly chat.

Family and me usually watch movies at my place on Sundays. Occasionally I will select a couple of bad movies with a theme, for everyone's amusement. A few we did are:

Domestic Terror

The Boy Next Door (2015)
Knock Knock (2015)

The Devil Made Me Do It

The Devil Inside (2012)
Devil's Due (2014)

Creature Feature (most recently)

Stung (2015)
Howl (2015)

Attack of the B-Aliens

Biohazard (1985)
Without Warning (1980)
Alien 2: On Earth (1980)
