Tom Petty has passed at the age of 66 from cardiac arrest. I like his music, i think he was a great song writer. His songs have always been a staple on classic rock radio, though most of his hits are before my time, im familier with them, always playing in rotation.  RIP TOM.

The news is saying that they're getting conflicting reports as to whether life support was pulled, or if he's still on it...

Right now it appears he's still alive.

I hope he recovers.

When I read that he had a "massive cardiac event", I figured this would be the outcome.

I wasn't a huge fan, but I respected his place in rock music. Rest in peace, good sir.

Well, I jinxed it.  I'm sorry.

Farewell, Mr. Petty.  You might not have rocked as hard as some, but you rocked in a way that was uniquely you.
