It was good, a bit too reliant on CGI and too much swearing by kids but I enjoyed it.

BTW: I didn't find Pennywise scary at all.

I tend to begrudge movies the time it takes to see them but I think seeing IT was worth a couple hours, though I'm with you, Pennywise has never been scary. Nothing King's written has ever scared me, just drawn me in and kept me reading because his is a powerful talent and we're lucky to have him in our era.

As for the book....

I guess I should say SPOILER ALERT here....

To me the entire book was more or less ruined years ago when King inexplicably wrote about them all getting together and having sex with Bev at the end. Just....WHAT????

That SO did not fit the tone of that novel.

I read IT when I was fourteen and sometimes toy with the idea of reading it again and seeing how it feels today.
