So I tuned into B-Movie TV a little after midnight to see what movie was playing and of course I missed the title. Normally you can catch it again at the end of the film and after the credits roll but this flick chose to spite me. I didn't think to try getting the lead actor's name for IMDB hunting but the credits were of such low quality that I couldn't read them anyway. So:

Carl works for ARC, who are developing a space suit (I think), and his boss sets him up to get blown up in an accident in order to use him as a test subject (?). A team puts him into a vat of "white blood" from Japan to keep what's left of him alive before hooking him into a suit of gold foil. He breaks out, escapes in a garbage truck, and an incinerator burns off the gold foil, exposing a mechanical framework underneath. Now Carl tries to avoid the team sent after him while communicating with his wife Lauren through a synthesizer. Anybody who gets too close to him or attacks him triggers an attack mode (beep beep beepbeepbeeep), and he kills a few bikers, some henchmen, and a former college by crushing him in a car. In the end Carl has to fight his boss who's in a perfected suit while Lauren holds off two other Franken-bots.

Is that enough information for anybody to come up with a name? BounceGiggle

Aha, that's it! A quick title and trailer search confirmed it, and I should have known it was Full Moon. TongueOut

Much thanks! :D

No problem!  Smile I have only ever seen the Key Video VHS of it. I'd like to see a better version of it someday. I don't think it's ever made it to dvd. At least, not that I can find...
