Anyone else see this? It's meant to be a bad movie and kinda revels in it. It's a movie in a movie. A film studio exec has cheated on his taxes and needs a huge flop to write off near the end of the year. Yes, sorta like the producers.

He decides to release a home made movie made by a SF fan entitled, -you guessed it!- Lobster man from mars.

With Patrick Macnee, Tony Curtis and Dr. Demento this is  meant to be an entertainingly bad movie. It also offers a tribute to "robot monster".

I dunno, my friend-movies that TRY to be campy are usually not worth a f**k. I-personally-don't like camp. I don't like MSTK3000 or the Lost Skeleton of whatever-I can't remember. I don't make fun of these movies. I actually like them. So-that's just me.
Oh-I know yer new-I HATE the ROCKY Horror pictublahahah....I really hate Rocky Horror.
I just think 'camp' junk-and Riff Trax and -oh jeez-I love these films-and to see morons  putting words in my mouth if I don't. I'm witty enuff to rag s**t on my own time, if I want . I don't need help .thank you very much.

Vaguely remember this...
Also referenced It Conquered the World (1956), or possibly the Larry Buchanan rip off, Zontar: The Thing from Venus (1966) (Maybe a fusion of the two), And featured comedian Tommy Sledge as this one note character he somehow got good at...

I remember watching this one back when it was a new movie. Thought it was pretty decent, although I wasn't a big fan of the song.

Like this one. Goofy a$$ed and ya know it goin' in. Dr. Demento does the narration, Tommy Sledge is for me one of the best characters, who knew they could get some big names to work in it? and...the end credits song is the first version of The B-52s 'Rock Lobster'.
