I didn't know if I should put this under the "What Movie Is This Thread" Entertainment Other or here... so, feel free to move it to wherever it's best.

Anyway, remember seeing a Youtube video about this PC game.  It's one of those Independent games about a young woman who comes back to the house she grew up in years after moving out.  (I think the house belonged to her grandparents or something.)  Anyway, the game is first person and you  are exploring the house and try to get into the rooms most of which seemed to be blocked off or locked.  Within each room you get a flashback that tells the story of the previous occupant.

In the first room you sneak into you get a story about a young girl who, due to misbehaving, is locked in her room and sent to bed without supper.  She wakes up in the middle of the night hungry and goes exploring around her room looking for something to eat.

(spoilers for the flashback story follow)

The little girl manages to open up a window, when she transforms into cat and grabs a bird.  Still hungry, she transforms into a hawk (or maybe eagle) and snatches up a rabbit.  Then she gets close to the ground and transforms into a shark as she rolls down the hill and crashes into the ocean.  From there she transforms into a black, octopus-like monster that attacks a fisherman, goes through some pipes and ends up back in the girls bedroom.

Ring a bell?

Hmm... should have tried doing some searching, but I thought someone here would have played it.

Anyway, bit of research and I found it!  It's called What Remains Of Edith Finch.
