Yes, but recalling the titles may be difficult.

Mr. laurel and Mr. Hardy was a good read. Has some nice bits of history, not just of the comic duo, but also of films in general. There's a letter from Hardy's wife, giving the author permission to publish interviews with Hardy after he died. That's sad; you can tell she loved him.

Also have some Star Wars books with good coverage of the FX process; always interesting. Also have one on Jurassic Park.

The MGM Story; a 70's history of the venerable studio, listing and reviewing all their movies. Haven't read it all.

A few more, but these come to mind.

That sound interesting. I like books on old time movies and stars. I had a books on Harold Llyod and the Marx Bros. back in the 70's-but they're long gone.

Danny Peary's Cult Movie series and Michael J. Weldon's Psychotronic guides are the two book series that formed my movie tastes in the days before the Internet. Also, "ReSearch Incredibly Strange Films," which is so old they interviewed Frank Henenlotter as an up and coming director.

The Art of Walt Disney - Two versions, actually. One's cut down. Has a history of the studio, an overview of their animation process, etc. The longer version has some extra stuff about Epcot, what they were planning when it was written.

Walt Disney: An American Original - Biography. A bit hard to follow.

The Creation of Dino DeLuaren's King Kong - Some interesting tidbits, but mostly dull. Forgive me if I misspelled Dino's name.

It Came From Bob's Basement - Wrote about this before. Bob Burns collected props from Sci-Fi films; this book is a biography with lots of pictures of his collection. He crossed paths with Paul Bladsil and others. Really interesting. Forgive me for spelling Bladsil's name wrong.

Scene Design and Stage Lighting - Old college text book I picked up a few years ago. (No, not from when I went to school.)

Bob Burns always fascinated me. Such a collection! Gave Forry Ackerman a run for his money.

I used to have a good one on Stanley Kubrick in which he gave an interview about each of his films, but I sold it to Half-Price Books when I was broke years ago. I think the bloodsucking hippies there gave me thirty-five cents.  Bluesad

Fifty Shades of Grey

Harry Potter
If that counts I've got some Star Wars and Indiana Jones adaptions. Also an adaption of Disney's The Black Hole, and comic book versions of Dragonslayer, The Land Unknown, and Irwin Allen's The Lost World.

I wrote one on the South African film industry's history: it's called Riding The High Wind. Still to be published.

It would be: those who read it find out much more than they actually want to know about our industry.  TeddyR

I don't care for the Medveds. Something about them rubs me the wrong way.

I used to have lots of those BIG picture books like TALKIES ... and that BIG green Horror movie book.  The only one I've looked at in decades is 1000 Movies To See Before You Die (or something like that).
