JIGSAW (2017)

I thought the first SAW was a masterpiece.  Gory and violent, yes, but at the same time brilliantly done with a twist ending that left me gasping.  The second was OK, after the third one I gave up on the franchise.

Then JIGSAW came out last fall, and I rented it on Redbox over the weekend.
Far and away, this is the best entry in the franchise since the original.  well-acted, fast-paced, and with several WTF moments plus an honest-to-gosh  twist that I did NOT see coming, I was pleasantly surprised by how much I liked this one.  4/5

I want to watch this.

I watched the first 7 on Netflix recently.  I saw all of them in theaters.  It's a guilty pleasure of sorts.

I had some extra money on an old gift card, so I picked up Jigsaw for the wife (didn't expect to like it; I too liked the first but gave up after that) and ended up enjoying it.
