I'm a Mac...

« on: March 15, 2018, 09:54:22 PM »

I wanted to visit my sister and brother in law at their new place in Orlando.

And of course get my fur niece and nephew fix for a while.  That was the highlight of my trip seeing those two again.

Maggie!

(Yep, that's a beer bottle).

And the Marvel Man!

We went on the Epcot Death March on Saturday.  I had over 32,000 steps by the end of the day.  We went to all four parks.  I hope my sister and brother in law don't think I'm gonna do parks every time I'm down there.  It's f**ked up how much it costs now to visit even one park.

We went out to the Kennedy Space Center on Sunday and had fun doing the tour.  That included going by the Vehicle Assembly Building and seeing the Saturn V center.

Went to a beach afterwards so I could stand in the Atlantic Ocean for a few minutes.

There is a liquor store in my area (Kappy's Liquors) that has been in business for many, many years. They used to have their own brand of beer (maybe they still do . . . I'm not sure). When I was in my 20s my friends and I decided to buy Kappy's beer one night. It was REALLY inexpensive. Big mistake. Most of us ended up with rampant "muds" after drinking it.

I had more than my fair share of Old Milwaukee. I don't think I've ever had Hamms or Huber. But I do remember that Meister Brau and Milwaukee's Best were particularly nasty.

i used to drink milwaukee's best, affectionately known as mama's best in my house. NOBODY drank my beer, and nobody will drink my hamm's either, i love that!
my friend brad that i visit in florida calls it"kenosha's finest, made with only the best drainage pond water!", p**sant that he is. can't touch miester brau, coor's or bud, it eats my stomach.
hey burgo, can you still get wiedemann's there? god, we lived on that stuff when we lived in arlington, had to walk a mile to get alcohol then.

Palmetto bugs, roaches bigger than your thumbs.  Really they're not that much of a problem.  I mean they're all over, but they don't really both you much unless they fly at you out of nowhere.

Did you fly in? The outside of the Orlando Airport looks like a set from Jurassic Park.

How was the weather in Orlando?

Not too bad.  It was somewhat cool for Florida then with highs only in the 60s and 70s.  I felt fine but the Florida natives were all dressed up like winter was coming.  I of course was coming in from a place where the highs had been in the low 30s.
