A good bad movie is like popcorn for the soul!

THIS IS IT!

This day, this occasion, this anniversary is what Christianity is all about.  Two thousand years ago, more or less, outside Jerusalem, a group of women came to mourn the dead and found the living.  A frightened group of disciples, hiding in an upper room for fear of arrest, had an encounter that transformed them into lions of courage who faced down the might of the Roman Empire.  A single man, an itinerant carpenter who never traveled more than a hundred miles from the place of His birth, was revealed as the Son of God beyond all doubt.  The movement that began that day spanned all seven continents and won thousands, then millions, and finally billions to the new faith.

Christianity is rooted and grounded in the events of that Sunday so long ago.  "If Christ be not raised . . . we are, of all men, most to be pitied!" Paul wrote some twenty-five years later.  Without the Resurrection, Christianity is an empty philosophy without the power to save a single soul.  Take away the Resurrection, and Jesus of Nazareth is just another man murdered for preaching unorthodox beliefs and defying those in authority.  But, because He was raised, everything He said about Himself and His Father was validated.  Because He was raised, His church has marched forward for two thousand years, proclaiming a truth that critics cannot destroy, time cannot diminish, and the world cannot forget:

HE IS RISEN!
