Oh yeah, that's a house centipede. Don't get them too often in my house, but I personally find them kinda cute (although, my definition of "cute" is a bit strange compared to most people's). They are fast as heck though, and they can bite, so I can see why they could cause some problems.

Give me a badminton racquet and I will swat those evil winged demons out of the air left and right!

Hiyah, die, insect!!!!

That reminds me of that America's Funniest Home Videos episode where someone is swatting wasps or bees out of the air.

Bob Saget: "Got you, got you and I guess I got all of you."
Wasp: "Not quite, Lumpy."
BS: "I'm not Lumpy."
Wasp: "You're gonna be: get him, guys!"  TeddyR TeddyR

I'm going to sound like a total p***y but the Barnacles from the Half-Life series have permanently scarred me.
I know they don't exist but I find myself looking up randomly.

Yeah, those things are both terrifying and annoying. They'd always be ready to get me in a dark corner while several other things such as Vortigaunts and Marines were shooting at me. Glad real barnacles aren't like that, hehe.

I haven't played much of HL1. The only reason I know what the entire game looks like is because of Freeman's Mind by Ross Scott.
Barnacles in HL1 are scary but the one's in HL2 are more detailed and horrifying IMO.

I'm not afraid of death, but I am afraid of the prolonged suffering that often preceeds it. I've watched too many family members die of cancer. Not for me.

I think that covers it for me.

i may have phrased that badly. i'm not afraid of the dying myself part, it's fear for my husband's wellbeing after i'm gone. if that makes any sense.

What frightens me? Others being held accountable for things I've done.

You understand that, don't you?

I wish I knew if you were seeing these, and I wish I could hear from you before tomorrow. Even a 12. Maybe you're long gone, maybe unlike me you've been told to shut up ahead of this, but I still wish I knew how you were, and how it was going for you. I can't figure out if I'm on a long leash or if this is really it, just how it seems, and if I keep getting that lucky over and over again like I did in 2014, why?

I'll just say this openly, I hope you're well.

Stay strong and remember who you are and what you were part of: DFW. We were right, and don't forget that. And don't ever become the weak link.

One way or the other at some point it'll be OK.

Probably I'm just prattling to myself here, or to these people, but on the off chance you are still around to see this, you're in my thoughts, prayers, even, and please keep me in yours tomorrow and always.

Assuming you ever see this, which some spark of optimism in me makes me feel you will. Ha. And if not, then whatever.

Well, in either case, good luck, so long and thanks for all the fish.
