This topic could last for infinity!

One of the worst I've seen is ORCA (1977)
this movie is incredibly stupid. Even the poster is stupid.

"- it will travel across seas, across TIME-"

WTF does that mean? Question
Are they immortal? Or do they have a time machine? Are they ruled by Prince Namor?

I remember this one being in the ads when it was new:
GREAT WHITE (1981)
Starring Vic Morrow who of course met his sad fate a year later.
! No longer available Small | Large

I remember ORCA-- the scene where the baby pod plops out of the mom onto the deck of the ship-- yucky!

UP FROM THE DEPTHS (1979)
Pretty stupid looking knockoff of JAWS but with a prehistoric monster in lieu of a shark, though it seems to resemble one a bit.
! No longer available Small | Large

TINTORERA (1977)
Unusual flick with the shark being sort of a secondary story-- the main focus in this Italian cheapie is a love triangle, with sexy little Susan George involved!
! No longer available Small | Large

And just for fun, the MST3K episode of DEVIL FISH (1984).
! No longer available Small | Large

I saw this on TV years ago. I was telling my family about it and they didn't believe me. I need to see if I can find a copy of this.

JAWS THE REVENGE was a very very  Bad Jaws rip-off!
The f**king shark follows Sheriff Brady's family no matter where on f**king earth they are.

So why don't they just stay out of the f**king ocean!?

Joe Dante's "Piranha" (1978) is one of my favorite Jaws wanna-be's.

Legend has it that Spielberg hired him for "Twilight Zone: The Movie" after seeing "Piranha," which he called "The best Jaws ripoff I've ever seen."

Of course, the legendary "Piranha II: The Spawning" is worth a few laughs as well. Those flying piranhas look like huge leather handbags with teeth. :D

I always wondered what gimmick they would've used for a "Piranha III" ... "first they could swim, then they could fly, NOW they can TALK!"

I love the PIRANHA movies.

I guess ALLIGATOR counts too.

someone (possibly me) made a thread on here a while back asking if any film had depicted someone getting killed by a shark prior to JAWS... iirc no one could think of any examples?

SHARK! (1969)
This is a cheesily put together version of the original trailer, but it's an older flick with some shark attacks in it.  Burt Reynolds stars and Samuel Fuller directed.  Mr. Fuller was p**sed that the promoters used a real-life death of a stuntman/diver attacked by a shark to their advantage.  He demanded to have his name taken off the film to no avail.
