Seriously tho... I have only vague memories associated with the first
Spawn film, mostly about how cheap the special effects looked and Martin Sheen chewing the scenery for all he was worth.
I was getting out of the comic book hobby in the early 1990s when Spawn first blew up big... I bought the comic for the first year or so, just cuz I dug MacFarlane's art work (like most fanboys of the era)... until one day when I sat down with all the issues that I'd collected thus far and read them all back to back... and I realized that I hadn't understood a single thing that had gone on in those 18 or so issues. Seriously, that comic may have
looked great, but it made NO DAMN SENSE whatsoever. So I sez "Mmmm, yeah, I think I'm done with Spawn."
