Sorry to Bother You (2018)

This movie is... Different. It's very, very strange and avant garde. If you've seen the trailer and think you know exactly what kind of movie it is, you are DEAD WRONG! For better or worse the trailer for the film is definitely not indicative of the final product.

I can't say much, sadly, since I don't want to ruin the weirdness of the film but it was a very interesting ride with unexpected turns. Even my Dad, who scoffed at the trailer, and was reluctant to see it, ended up liking it a lot.

It's very refreshing to see such an original movie when everything has to be either a pre-existing franchise or cliché, formulated, factory garbage like Skyscraper. The fact that this movie has only made $8M is a travesty. Films this original deserve way more money than most of the crap that's only successful because it's already a franchise or has a big name actor in it.

I forgot to mention this in the original post but there wasn't one when I went to see it.
The only people in the entire theater were myself and my Dad.
It's a little depressing but hey, at least we didn't have to worry about being too loud.
