An obituary for an instructor of mine, who once----kid you not---gave us a quiz consisting of a bunch of names of real and fictional characters, and we had to argue whether this infamous person best fit his description of a sociopath, or a psychopath. He was so strict I argued in a side note that one person on the list demonstrated narcissism so profoundly that was probably his most defining trait....and this teacher docked me a point for deviating from his instructions!

Good guy, though, extremely dedicated in his service, and I'm sorry he's dead.

$FET or FET

a FB friend was very impressed by it last night and asked if anyone is using it. Apparently it is an UK based "crypto" or artificial intelligence? I wouldn't even know what to do with it, how to use it or use it for what?

Something I wish I didn't: Head transplant experiments.  That f**ked me up more than looking up nuclear/industrial disasters like the Bhopal Disaster.

"what is bitcoin"

I have actually never looked up bitcoin, or what it is. Just shows you when I'm not interested in something, I don't pay attention to it.

"how to use bitcoin"

Now I know and well, I care even less about it. I don't even know anyone personally who uses bitcoin let alone seen bitcoin ads.

Something I don't need in my life.

SHIB and/or SHIBA

Facebook friends confusing me with this. I feel silly asking them what shib is. They mention it casually like everybody knows. Google:

Quote
"a decentralised meme token that has evolved into a vibrant ecosystem"

I don't even know what that means. It seems to be another type of cryptocurrency? Is it like bitcoin? No idea. How does one use it? No idea.

It’s another type of cryptocurrency, like bitcoin, named after the Shiba Inu, a Japanese dog breed already popular in memes. The currency started as a joke, but has become somewhat popular & valuable.

Bushcraft

I know what bushcraft is, I was only wondering about the origins of the word. Some years ago it was still called survivalist camping or something like that.
Search told me it's an old term made popular only a few years ago by camping TV shows.
