I thought they gave the chief bad guy the wrong name until I saw the movie.
Kylo made a lot of mistakes.

That show gave me a bad acid trip feeling and I couldn't even see the characters without recoiling inside. My mom used to tell me a story about some autistic kid who was terrified of Winnie the Pooh, and I think R&S was my personal version of that.

Oh yea, R&S was a trip for sure. To this day I wonder how the hell that show ended up on Nickelodeon, cuz it definitely had bits that were NOT kid-friendly.

I was in my early 20s when it first came out so I was already well past Nick's target demographic age, but I will never forget the first time I saw Ren & Stimpy while channel surfing one hung-over Sunday morning. It was the "Fire Dogs" episode, and honestly I had no idea what the hell I was looking at... at first I thought it was a re-run of some old '50s/'60s cartoon that I'd never seen before (due to its weird/retro art style) but by the time that fat lady threw her horse ("No, sir, I don't like it") and her walrus out the window of a burning building and then crushed Ren with her huuuuuge buttocks when SHE jumped out the window, I knew that this was something new, weird and dangerous. I was hooked from then on.

If memory serves,  R&S was moved to MTV after Nick got one too many angry letters from parents about the show.

I love Ren and Stimpy!

Happy Happy Joy Joy!

I was in my 30's when it came out- Spielberg's lame Looney Tunes s**t with the Animaniacs  (with it's John Lennon voiced charecter and out-dated cultural refrences) tried to be clever- but the maniacal nonsense of Ren and Stimpy put a quash on that s**t real fast. It brought back adult humor and irrelavance to kid cartoons, and paved the way for Sponge Bob Squarepants, Dexter's Lab, and the Power Puff Girls, and it's ilk.

They were insane!

I love the backround music- which sound like it came from an old MGM musical.

It's LOG! from Blammo!

http://youtu.be/8-9scNP5KWk

When I worked at KMart in the early 90s, I was cleaning out a corner of the back stock room one day and I found a plastic "tree" that must have fallen out of some kind of kids' toy. I took the "leaves" off of it and kept the "trunk" part, made a little sign that said "NOW AT KMART! LOG FROM BLAMMO! ALL KIDS LOVE LOG!" and put it on top of the cash register at my work station.

...the store manager didn't get the gag, he made me get rid of it.  Hatred

Ren and Stimpy was terribly underrated.
