I been dreading his passing for a while now. My parents took me to see Brighton Beach Memoirs on stage when I was a child because Ann the Babysitter, who was supposed to come hang with me that evening, had a big fight with her boyfriend and skipped out on us, so I was a last minute inclusion and young as I was, as much as parts of it went over my head, I loved that play and liked Simon from then on. Funny though, for years I went around saying Same Time Next Year was my favorite Neil Simon play.....and I found out later that wasn't one of his.

Great talent who wrote many superb plays.  Good night, NEIL.  Your plays will be performed for a very long time.

Ye-es! And if you don't like to sit and see the play, then see the film based on the play. Many of his plays, originally put on the stage, were converted into films and/or TV shows. For he wrote in a time, when original plays were made into films. Now, it's the reverse. Popular films are being turned into plays and musicals. R.I.P. Neil. You will be missed.
