UPGRADED (2018)

  Set in the not-too-distant future, this science fiction epic is the story of a man who becomes perfectly blended with a machine.  Grey is an old school auto mechanic whose wife works for a hi-tech company, in an age where cars and homes are fully computerized and automated.  Coming home from a business meeting with the President of another hi-tech company, they are attacked by a gang of cyborg soldiers.  Grey's wife is murdered, and he is left paralyzed.  He is losing his will to live when he is offered another chance: a cybernetic implant in his body that will return his motor skills and let him walk again.

   Of course, once he is mobile, his first order of business is to track down the men who killed his wife and avenge her death.  That's when he discovers that there is much, much more to his situation than he realized at the first.

   Dark and brilliant, this is a fascinating exploration of the boundaries that separate man and machine, along the lines of EX MACHINA but even better done.  Great flick!  4.5/5

The trailer looks insanely good, I'm glad that it lives up the the promise.  Will definitely catch this one.
