Since we've voiced our opinions on the Friday the 13th franchise, I'm interested to know your views on the Elm Street series.

My list goes like this:

A Nightmare on Elm Street (1984) 4.5/5:An absolute classic. No question about it. Everything from the acting down to the SFX is awesome.

Freddy's Dead: The Final Nightmare 4.3/5: Holy crap, I've never seen such a fun movie since The Toxic Avenger. I don't give a crap what the "critics" say, this film is awesome.

Dream Warriors 4.1/5: This one is definitely deserving of being one of the best in the series.

Freddy's Revenge 4/5: An unfairly underrated gem. Sure, it has it's share of flaws...but what movie isn't flawed? Ultimately deserves better credit.

The Dream Child   3.3/5: Just okay. The fact that it's a bit darker than the preceding film makes it more enjoyable.

The Dream Master  3/5: Overrated. FX is pretty good but the rest kinda sucks. Freddy's one-liners don't help either.

(*Note: I did not include New Nightmre or Freddy vs Jason because I feel that they are their own films.)

4/5: Elm Street 1: Classic. Great Freudian concepts. Epic villain. Good lighting/atmosphere. Not very likeable final girl.
4/5: Dream Warriors: incredibly fun and likeable characters. Original final girl returns and dies.
4/5: Freddy vs. Jason: the best way they could mix these two.

3/5: Freddy's Revenge: Freddy's MO is weird, but the Freudian concepts were interesting.

2/5: New Nightmare: interesting concept; re-introduces the meta that would become even more popular with Scream, however it's really dull. Heather Leathernap is back, too.
2/5: Dream Master: just stupid. Powers out of their ass and passing them to others. Total nonsense.
2/5: Dream Child: pure f**king diapers. Pass.

1/5: Freddy's Dead: gets one point for having Alice Cooper. Looses points for everything else (lame amnesia angle, dumb twist, Rosanne f**king Barr, loony tunes style, and Freddy needs to STFU).

1/5: Freddy's Nightmares: Pilot had good ideas; rest of series suffered due to budget/creative. Still better than the remake.

0/5: Nightmare Remake: not a redeemable quality.

Not hard to do.
The first one was classic.
The rest sucked.
