A good bad movie is like popcorn for the soul!

So what happens when a medieval monk encounters a group of space aliens?  That's the subject of the short story I just finished and posted on my blog:

For a  minute i thought this was going to be about one of Jack Prick's anti mormon tracts. I'm serious, he wrote several anti mormon tracts one of which was called "the visitors" which was famous for a woman realizing some people were Mormons with a look of shock and horror on her face more suitable to discovering people were cannibals.

She looks like she's about to scream, bolt for a window and throw herself thru it.

I'm glad I was wrong and it was something you wrote, indy. I actually laughed a little when i realized it wasn't what i was afraid it was going to be. I may have known you wouldn't post that.

I have known many Mormons and they are all very nice people, but the book of Mormon is a crock, historically speaking.

You know, Sven, I've actually seen that tract. Funny. Long ago my friend Mandy and I used to do scavenger hunts for those pamphlets and that was one we found. We used to say we were sparing people's minds from them, ha, but I usually thought they were entertaining.

Ironically nowadays once wild Mandy is an uber-Mormon. Life is strange.

Chick's tracts convinced me that i don't want anything to do with his god and that if he's right most people are just screwed.

I used to see those Jack Chick comic-book tracts scattered around the waiting area for the Staten Island Ferry once in awhile when I was in college. Of course, I would always hang onto 'em when I found 'em cuz they were hilarious. I probably had about a dozen or so by the time I left school.  The one I remember most fondly was about the evils of rock music, starring a local yokel rock band who signed a management contract with "Lou Siffer" (subtle, haha!) to make them into rock stars. By the end of the tract one band member was dead of AIDS, one was strung out on heroin, and another was "into vampirism." Haha!

I wonder if they will be worth something one day (if you still have them anyway)?

I'm told that certain "issues" of those tracts are considered "collectible" because some were reprinted over and over again while others were taken out of circulation, so there are fewer copies of them out there ... but I don't have any of 'em anymore, they were in one of the boxes when I sold off my comic collection in the 1990s. (shrugs)

Yeah some prick tracts were  very rare because they weree pulled soon due to being too outrageous for even jack prick's audience.  The one where a father had been molesting his daughter for ears then had the big revelation a dne everything was mine afterwards was really egregious.

One infamous tract,  big daddy,  was so throughtly destroyed by critics pointing out how flawed it was that prick redid it, and it was still total bs.

Many people think "the last generation" was his most "WTF?!?! " comic.

Hmm,  looks like a jacked indy's thread (sorry)  so I should start another one.

I'm not being sarcastic but Sven I don't know what you're talking about. I am interested, I just truly can't follow what you're trying to say here. Would you re-write this or explain it, please? The part about what the father was doing and the reveal? You had me hooked and I was trying to figure it out. I know you think I'm b***hing at you but sometimes your posts are unreadable.

I mean that indy started a thread on "the visitors" which i initially thought might be about the infamous jack prick tract "The visitors" where mormons, like everyone in existence who isn't a jack prick clone, is naturally portrayed as wrong, evil, deluded, tricked by satan and going to hell.

Well, indy's post had nothing to do with that little piece of hate but the thread kinda got hijacked into a jack prick tract thread so I said i should start one instead of taking over indy's.

I also find it yard to believe you're really dumb enough not to get that.

OK, Sven, TWO things here:  Your posts are so riddled with typos that even using context clues it is sometimes hard to figure out what you are saying.  I get that tiny phone keyboards are hard to type on, but have some consideration for your audience!

Secondly:  Your habit of calling everyone you disagree with names (Jack Prick) or writing "SPIT!" after you type the name of someone you don't like or disagree with politically is juvenile, tasteless, and frankly  does NOTHING to advance whatever point it is you are trying to make.  It just makes you sound like a boorish 8th grader.

Obviously, I can't give you orders.  I have tried hard to listen to you and be nicer to you of late, even though you obviously despise some things I believe in quite strongly.  But those two habits of yours, above all else, just make me want to slam the negative karma button over and over.

Lighten up a bit, please?

Look, for a second i honestly thought your post might be about that tract and i just mentioned it as a funny bit, then the thread kinda derailed.I was saying I didn't mean to jack (hijack) your thread on it.

As to other things, I've been typing for a long time and i was told it was get better with time, it hasn't.

As to hate, that';s the climate that people have created in america.

Sven, how can you be so dumb as to misread my simple question?  I was asking what was the twist in the story of the molester father? How could you not get that?
