I have this on dvd and it really is a well-done film. While, it it isnt the usual Hammer fare, the subject of a child predator with a reputation of some considerable standing is one that is relevant in any age; if you havent see this, it is worth a look.
I absolutely agree. I like how they give the plot room to breathe and incorporate a lot of elements to such a case I would imagine audiences at the time may not have considered. The ending gets a bit ridiculous, but still within the grounds of possibility.
