While German atrocities during ww2 are admitted to and owned up to by the German people,  the Japanese simply prefer to not mention the atrocities their grandfathers committed.  Well,  san Francisco created a memorial to some of the victims of some of imperial japan's worst war crimes.  The Japanese got their kimonos in a bunch.  Hell with them.

So you find yourself agreeing with the Biblical concept that the punishments for sins are passed down through many generations? I can't get behind your kind of strict religiosity, Sven, sorry. I kind of think the guilt for a crime dies with the person who committed it and Germans and Japanese born after the war are only responsible for the things they do, but that's just me.

However I do bet that those who died at Japanese hands in the war are thrilled to finally be getting a statue.

No moron,  I am not punishing the people to Japan today for the atrocities their most honorable ancestors.  I am saying the victims of their crimes should not be forgotten and everyone else should not go along with the Japanese and just not talk about them.

I have to agree with you Svengoolie 3.  No one after should be punished for it but that doesn't mean it should be treated as though it never happened or to never be admitted to having been done.

On a movie related note the evil godzilla in godzilla mothra &  king ghidorah was animated by the memories ofthe people Japan murdered in ww2 and refused to remember. The Japanese mostly simply  don't  acknowledge their anceatorcs wrongs.

But boy they don't mind going on about how awful Hiroshima an Nagasaki we're.  They don't mind talking about the wrongs done to their country in the past but simply it ire the wrongs their country did.
