I read all sortsa stuff about 'time slips'.
It kills me, man.
I think it's fun to make a game of finding oddities in memory.
Like despite everyone singing it as, "....It's a beautiful day in
the neighborhood..." Mr. Rogers' opening theme song is (now?) him singing, "...."It's a beautiful day in
this neighborhood..." Look it up on YouTube, he clearly (now?) sings "this" instead of "the" even in forty-year-old episodes. Either everyone's been wrong in a song we've heard and sung all our lives, or....what? lol
Oh, and did you know the scarecrow in
The Wizard of Oz (now?) packs a gun? He does! He carries a pistol. Ever seen him carrying a pistol? I sure don't remember him carrying a pistol. If you do, maybe this is your native reality and that's how it's always been. Me, I'm weirded out.
Are people's memories faulty and that explains it all? Almost certainly, yeah, but it's fun to find these large-scale discrepancies and wonder about alternate realities, string theory, CERN's mad scientist experiments, God playing practical jokes, the lunacy of human life.
And I also love how these make people scramble to explain them.
