My loved ones, too numerous to list..... The smell of fresh-mown grass.... The smell of rain falling on a hot summer sidewalk.... My friends near and far.... Paydays (not the candy bar)..... Forbidden Planet.... The fact my father is the smartest man in virtually any room he enters..... My old dog Chocolate.... The way my buddy Clare walks like she's dancing.... A good book.... Dawn and dusk..... Wintertime.... When the leaves turn in autumn.... My home.... A bonfire.... The Elder Scrolls series, the Souls series, Fallout series, Dishonored series, the Carnivores series, the Medal of Honor series, and many other game titles..... the Burrens.... Hugging all my children at once.... Shopping.... My almost father in law's incredible generosity to my children when he has no reason to do the things for them he does.... The Bill of Rights.... You guys here.... Music..... Dreams.... A workout high..... Winning a hard-fought tennis match.... Bright colors.... The fact my mother is clearly a fairy queen with amnesia about her homeland.... Sled riding.... Being asked to write recommendation letters on behalf of former interns.... The fact I am looking at retirement at age forty-two (knock on wood).... Decorating for various holidays.... Kite flying.... My Secret Keeper..... My oldest daughter's love of reading.... The way my son is such a Quiet Man.... My youngest's propensity for high drama that makes me laugh afterward.... Being an American.... The fact I'm almost forty and I still have a living grandparent..... A massage.....  King of the Hill.... A good joke..... The fact that after decades of agnosticism I came to feel hope that I may one day be reunited with those I loved, who are gone.... Being Irish.... Metal detecting.... Freedom.... The ancient overlook at the edge of my woods (I suspect people have stood there for 12,000 years)..... Making lists.

I just found,  believe it or not, a copy of normal spinra$'s "the iron dream" in a box of books picked up at a yardsale.  "The iron dream" is kinda impossible to explain,  you have to look it up...

I just bought an issue of WORLD FAMOUS CREATURES magazine from 1959, which was the first Famous Monster rip-off mag. It's got great John Severin art!  Buggedout
I got it for $1.00 from an old lady at Busy Bee Flea Market!

Dig this- I bought 3 weeks ago the whole run of the INVADERS (#1-#41) for $45 dollars on Ebay.
Nobody saw the auction, cuz the guy was only selling 4 or 5 things-it went under the radar. I was the only bidder. The bid started at 40 bucks. The 5 was for shipping.
Its from the 70's, and features Capt.America and Bucky, Namor, the Human Torch and Toro, and 2 issues have Thor (!) one has the Frankenstein Monster (!!!), the Red Skull is there as well, Baron Zemo, some cool Kirby covers-! Great stuff.
Great art by Frank Robbins and Alan Kupperburg too, who are comic book artists from the 1940's.

That time I was in a restaurant and there was this loud rude ahole a couple tables down from me. When I left I stopped behind him as he was seated at his table, turned away, let a SBD rip and walked away nonchalantly. I heard his gag before I reached the door. Man, I loved that...
