Snakes, steaks, Mexican food, and holiday breaks.
Writing stories, morning glories, children's smiles, nights in the forties.
My darling wife, my professional life, my twin daughters, and political strife.
Cheesy movie plots, secret arrowhead spots, my best friend far away, and my deepest inward thoughts.
A secret dream, warm chocolate cream, going to church on Sunday, and Linnea Quigley's scream.

Teaching American history, unraveling ancient mysteries, reading about the Romans, and living out my destiny.
Making rhymes, hiking (sometimes), a crisp fall day outdoors, and counting out my dimes.

I just found,  believe it or not, a copy of normal spinra$'s "the iron dream" in a box of books picked up at a yardsale.  "The iron dream" is kinda impossible to explain,  you have to look it up...

I just bought an issue of WORLD FAMOUS CREATURES magazine from 1959, which was the first Famous Monster rip-off mag. It's got great John Severin art!  :buggedout:
I got it for $1.00 from an old lady at Busy Bee Flea Market!

Dig this- I bought 3 weeks ago the whole run of the INVADERS (#1-#41) for $45 dollars on Ebay.
Nobody saw the auction, cuz the guy was only selling 4 or 5 things-it went under the radar. I was the only bidder. The bid started at 40 bucks. The 5 was for shipping.
Its from the 70's, and features Capt.America and Bucky, Namor, the Human Torch and Toro, and 2 issues have Thor (!) one has the Frankenstein Monster (!!!), the Red Skull is there as well, Baron Zemo, some cool Kirby covers-! Great stuff.
Great art by Frank Robbins and Alan Kupperburg too, who are comic book artists from the 1940's.

That time I was in a restaurant and there was this loud rude ahole a couple tables down from me. When I left I stopped behind him as he was seated at his table, turned away, let a SBD rip and walked away nonchalantly. I heard his gag before I reached the door. Man, I loved that...
