Babylon 5, Londo Mollari.  He was nit the typical dashing,  young,  unambiguous here.  He was older, out of shape,  had a lot of issues,  was capable of utter viciousness and underhanded dealings cheated at  cards and made a it f mistakes.

And still at heart(s) he was a fundamentally good man in a very complex universe with great powers pulling and pushing him in bad directions. In the end he redeemed himself to a degree.

Danny Williams in the Hawaii Five O reboot, played by Scott Caan.

Great father to his kids, loyal family man, great cop but OMG: cross him or hurt his friends, colleagues and family and you find out very quickly that he is a very, very dangerous person.  Buggedout

Sample dialogue:

To a suspect: "Normally I'd bounce your head offa this table but I'm in a good mood."
To his friend Max the ME about a burnt corpse: "Maybe your boy Crispy here picked up the wrong fare."
To a suspect who's threatened his family: "You can get my badge number off your forehead."  Buggedout

More often guest appearances, than TV regulars, but there are some. Such as . . .

Billy Aldrich
The Doctors
David Michael Elliott, Shawn Campbell, Alec Baldwin
shot to death

Ceeto
Kevin Malicki Sanchez
War of the Worlds
shot to death

Charles Jennings
Terrence Corrigan
Midsommer Murders
stabbed to death

Note a trend there.

And . . .
David Harris Jones
Bruce Bould
The Rise and Fall of Reginald Perrin

Tommy Oliver, he of the Power Rangers franchise.  He starred on the first 5 seasons of the show (Mighty Morphin-Turbo), cameo appearance on Wild Force, returned for a full season in Dino Thunder, made a cameo on SPD, returned in Dino Charge and Ninja Steel.  Longest tenured ranger with the most costume and power changes (Green MMPR, White MMPR, Red Zeo, Red Turbo, took up Zeo again, Black Dino Thunder, and can now use any of them whenever needed.)

Law and order.  Lenny Briscoe. The series really went downhill when he bad to leave.  Never replaced him.

In the entire law and order universe, it was Bobby Goren.  He was a deeply flawed and gifted mad who struggled with inner demons I know all too well.
