Got asked what my favourite board game was today. Hmm, that is going to take some figuring out. Is it the devious gamesmanship of 'Dead of Winter' or Diplomacy, reducing my opposition to quivering wrecks in 'Monopoly', the race against time in 'Chainsaw Warrior' or 'Dragonfire'. And so on.

Oh the choices.

It isn't 'Battleships' though. I find that game to be very hit or miss.

Two board games I enjoy are Trivial Pursuit and Scrabble, though there is this fun box game we used to play where you take topics and give weird answers. That is kind of fun.

Diplomacy was a great game, however finding 6 other people to play it was a struggle. Monopoly was brain-dead fun you could play with almost anyone.

Two years ago we bought Dead of Winter: A Crossroads Game that came highly recommended. I think it won awards for best board game or something. We only did one attempt at playing. Well, we never actually played because we got stuck trying to understand and figure out the rules. Very exhausting and complicated  BounceGiggle None of the (long) videos explaining the game on youtube helped much either. We did try again last Halloween but gave up frustrated, again.

I guess its back to playing monopoly.

I've got that one and quite enjoy it. If you have any questions on the game play feel free to ask.

The play through on Wil Wheaton's online show Table Top was pretty good.

I used to really like Sorry.
I was pretty good at Scrabble.
We played the sh** out of Monopoly as kids.
One of my favorites was MOUSE TRAP.

We used to like an old one called SUPERSTITION:

And THE MAD MAGAZINE GAME:

RUN YOURSELF RAGGED:

GAMBLER:

HAWAIIAN PUNCH GAME:

and another one I really liked, STOP THIEF:

We also played all the other big name games like PAY DAY, CLUE, TROUBLE, etc.
Probably my favorite all time is a tie with SORRY, MOUSE TRAP and STOP THIEF.
