"Eight Channel" Sound gates & mixers that only have TWO inputs...
And how they justify the price of something so stupid.

Boy here's something I sure don't "get".

If a normal person is even accused of being a pedophile, even an unsupported and implausibke accusation, he might as well step out in front of a bus because his life's over. He will lose his job,  he won't be able to get hired,  he will be you ded by the media, he will be ostracized and condemned. His life will be ended by a simple,  unsupported accusation of pedophilia.

So will someone please explain to me why a guy who has admitted drugging and taking a 12 year  old girl and fled prosecution even allowed to even file a lawsuit over being expelled from the motion picture academy?  How can he file a lawsuit over this? And why did it take so long for the adpcademy to boot him out???

An innocent man loses his job over an unsupoorted accusation of some sexual impropriety and he can't sue to get it back, but a guy who is known to have raped a 12 year old can?

This world sucks.

There's a genre of hentai called guro. I'll spare you for looking it up; it's sexual gore. Now I get a lot of fetishes, but being shot and ejaculating at the same time is something I just don't understand.

Why "the silverware goes on the left" when most people are right-handed. Does it go back to the Dark Ages when people merrily stabbed one another between courses, so utensils were set out of easy reach?

One thing that my three years in Japan taught me is that while the Japanese are kind, courteous to strangers, and make some of the most delicious food on the planet, they are also an INCREDIBLY perverted bunch.
Wonder if that's why they have the lowest birth rate of any industrialized nation on earth?

It's more likely that's due to crushing work weeks and leave little time for raising a kid.

Well sense we seem to be talking about some Japanese things, I've kind of got one.  Although its less that I don't "get" it but more of an "its just not for me" deal.

I don't find most J-horror movies all that scary.

I get why a lot of people find them scary.  The nihilistic atmosphere (no happy endings), people can be taken anytime-even in daylight a supposed safe time, and all the elements that should make it work.

What gets me is their choice of killer.  The girl from The Ring does not look scary to me.

The one from The Grudge, I actually find her kind of goofy looking.  Like someone letting out a large burp at an embarrassing time.

I like paper. An old book-the smell of it's yellow pages...man.
I reckon I'm biased, because I collect books.

Looks like she went to check out a guy's coupling gear and found out he was related to John Holmes....

Caffeine in shampoo.

I JUST bought a new bottle of shampoo/conditioner and was picking one out. I looked at a bottle and saw it boasted containing caffeine.

Caffeine. In shampoo.

Does not compute. Does not compute. Does not compute.

Wasn't there one back in the '70s that had beer in it?
