I have a big collection of blaxploitation movies, but my favorite is probably the original SHAFT with Richard Roundtree. The worst is probably THE GUY FROM HARLEM (see my comments from back in 2006 here: http://www.badmovies.org/forum/index.php/topic,105004.0.html)

Others in my collection are:

* SUPERFLY (the original, of course)
* SHAFT'S BIG SCORE
* SHAFT IN AFRICA
* TRUCK TURNER (Isaac Hayes!)
* COFFY
* FRIDAY FOSTER
* SHEBA, BABY
* BUCKTOWN
* WELCOME HOME, BROTHER CHARLES
* BOSS (the DVD case doesn't use the original title with the "N" word)
* SWEET SWEETBACK'S BAADASSSSS SONG
* BLACK MAMA, WHITE MAMA (not strictly blaxploitation, but Pam Grier is in it)
* BLACK CAESAR
* HELL UP IN HARLEM
* CLEOPATRA JONES
* GET CHRISTIE LOVE! (The TV pilot film)
* BLACKENSTEIN
* BLACULA
* SCREAM BLACULA SCREAM
* DR. BLACK & MR. HYDE
* FOXY BROWN
* TROUBLE MAN
* BLACK GUNN
* BLACK CONNECTION
* BLACK SHAMPOO
* SLAUGHTER
* SLAUGHTER'S BIG RIP-OFF
* TAKE A HARD RIDE
* THAT MAN BOLT
* ONE DOWN, TWO TO GO
* THE MACK
* UPTOWN SATURDAY NIGHT
* LET'S DO IT AGAIN

. . . and probably another 5 or 10 I forgot to list.

I love 'em!

This thread is great because I've never really been into Blaxploitation films. The closest I've come is the trendy vestiges in Enter The Dragon (I met Jim Kelly as a convention a few years before his passing, what a cool cat), and the Blaxploitation parody Black Dynamite.

@RC - OMG this looks great! And there's a dude with a big afro and mustache that looks like Michael Jai White's character in Black Dynamite. I'd give you karma but for some reason no can karma you. Just watching that trailer shows where Black Dynamite was aiming, this is so cool.  Cheers

@RC - I wish I had seen these movies before I met Jim Kelly, I could have asked him about them. Sigh. That intro is the BOMB.  Thumbup Cheers

I wonder if Michael Jai White ever met Jim Kelly and talked to him about his plans for Black Dynamite? I wonder if Jim Kelly ever saw Black Dynamite. Oh, the questions...

Speaking of blaxploitation movies,  i'm amazed that no one ever made one called "The shalolin spade".

Before anyone has an aneurism over that term it is a popular martial arts/kung Fu weapon.

Why do you always make me laugh?  Seriously, though, I can't imagine the price of eggs 'round the corner.

Jeezus RC,  i'm surprised they never made a blaxploitation movie about a black martial artist who used a shalolin spade as his weapon and called the movie "The shaolin spade" as a joke.

I mean jeez,  we had "black belt Jones" for chrissake,  and the kung Fu seres was popular back then which out the whole shalolin thing in he media. I really canct believe they never made a blaxploitation movie called "the shalolin spade".
