Moontrap was a low budget but decent SF flick from long ago starring walter koenig and bruce campbel.. It was a fun little movie, a good B movie.

There was a recent reboot called moontrap that sucks to high heaven, avoid it. Rewatch the infinitely superior original.

Yeah, the first Moontrap was fun. I haven't seen the years-too-late sequel, but for some reason I started following its Facebook page while it was in production a couple of years ago. From the updates posted there, it looked like typical cheap SyFy style junk, with only vague connections to the first movie.

It may still be in my watch list on Amazon, but I doubt I'll ever bother with it.
