Harbinger down.

When the so called prequel to john carpenter's the thing was made a practical effects company was hired to do the effects for it to keep it looking like the carpenter's movie. At least Thatcs what they and carpenter we're told.

The producers  later replaced all the practical effects with CGI prior to release,  essentially saying "XXXX YOU! " to the practical effects teams efforts.

The movie sucked,  BTW.

The effects team we're very displeased with their treatment and scraped together enough money to make a blatant, in your face ripoff of the thing called harbinger  down.

While  harbinger down may not have been a great movie some fans of carpenters the thing have said it was better  that the prequel.

Nice story about a little company screwed by a Hollywood studio and fighting back.

(Btw Harbinger down is the kind of movie that's this sites meat 'n taters.)

I was sooooo disappointed that they replaced the animatronic raptors in Jurassic World with CGI ones.  Harbinger down. Harbinger down. Help me keep than name in mind. Harbinger down.

I know some stories, but lack the time to do them justice.

I think the story of the making of Pulgasari is one of the most fascinating and insane things I've ever heard.  There are a few others tied up in the same story, but Pulgasari is the one that I've seen and enjoyed of the bunch...

According to director Penelope Spheeris, Mike Myers almost quit Wayne's World (1992) over Bohemian Rhapsody because he thought his wig wouldn't hold.

Spheeris described Myers as emotionally needy, and very difficult to work with. So much that she begged her daughter to "babysit" Myers on the set of Wayne's World. Apparently the daughter had a "calming effect" on Myers, and made the shoot somewhat more bearable.
