Did Marvel Just Reveal John Krasinski As MCU Mr. Fantastic In New Comic?

The Fantastic Four are some of the characters that fans would like to see in Phase 4 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Fans have been dream-casting with their favorite stars, in fact starting a rather popular campaign for The Office favorite John Krasinski to play Mr. Fantastic. And it looks like Marvel is on board with the idea.

Reed Richards recently got quite the makeover in the comics, and the inspiration seems to be the A Quiet Place star. The leader of Marvel's First Family appears in the newly released War of the Realms #3. It almost looks like the design was made blatantly obvious, so people will easily pick up on it. Of course, they did and fans immediately took notice.

Could this be Marvel's way of saying that Krasinski could be playing the role? If this is the case, it is quite a bold and risky move on the studio's part especially since fans who want the actor in the role will now expect to see this happen and would be bummed not to see it pan out.

Another possibility is that they are testing the waters to see if fans respond positively to the idea. This would mean that the studio is keeping tabs on fan casting and is open to explore these ideas.

Krasinski is a fan-favorite for Mr. Fantastic. He came close to joining the MCU, auditioning for Captain America, which obviously went to Chris Evans. His wife and award-winning actress Emily Blunt could have also played Black Widow, but now fans want her to play Invisible Woman instead.

It is very interesting that Krasinski essentially made his debut as Reed Richards in the comics, as opposed to the movies, that is if it is really him they based the new design from. However, fans may also want to consider the possibility that this new Mr. Fantastic look might also mean that Marvel has found another actor for the role and that this move was made to let fans know that they hear them.
