I was watching a movie on some cable channel and it just started running more and more ads and the ads got longer and longer with more and more commercials running in them.

Finally I just said "One more xxxxin' commercial and that's IT!"

Sure enough,  another commercial.

I never saw the rest of the movie.

Do you have a break point on ads? Have you ever just said "it's not worth all the ads!?

I quit watching TV mostly because of ads. The breaking point was when they started to show ads in the upper or lower frame two minutes before the regular break for ads.
Besides that here in Germany they love to edit (violence, sex) movies or series so they can show them during prime time. Why watch something that is censored and full of ads when I can just pop in the blu-ray and watch the whole thing without annoying ads? I have no regrets not watching TV anymore since 2005  Thumbup

You kids with your loud music and your hula hoops and your online streaming subscriptions. In streaming platforms, I regard ads as a necessary evil that's preferable having content ensconced behind a paywall. The only time ads annoy me is if they're not placed in a natural break in the narrative. I only rage quit if the actual content takes a serious downturn in quality.

i don't subscribe to streaming stuff, though  i do look at a couple streaming sites at times,  i do have rooku and a fire tv, why both? when i bought my fire tv a friend of mine said you want my rooku ? it's never been used my sister got it for me a couple years back and i said hell yeah thanks.

now pluto tv has a doctor who channel and that's got ads and it's annoying as hell but free is free ya know? and my only complaint really is on the rooku channel they have the old unsolved mysteries okay? well they have ads in them that's fine, but they never put them in the right place and it always cut off in the middle of someone's sentence but when that is over you do have a bit where it's them starting over what is said and than continues from there but again that's free so i can't complain too much
